Hello headfier, recently I had bought a portable DAP Fiio X5 2nd Gen. I am babysitting this DAP as much as i can but accident happened right..
Then one time I accidently slipped it from my hand to the ground from 2-4 feet above ground which is tiled surface. Do you think i might damaged the internal electrical component of the DAP which might effect the sound quality. Im a bit paranoid by now. But from my hearing capability I didnt notice any sound difference or defect. But maybe there is any that I didnt notice.. Anybody? Thanks for any input

Given that the DAP is still working after the mishap I would think the sound would be the same as ever. Mechanical breakage would effect things like the display, switches, jacks etc. As long as the controls, jacks and connectors, and the display are functioning normally then all should be OK.

To damage the chip internals you've got to drop it much more serious than that. Basically, everything else will break before the internals will.
