Ok 256 is twice the size of the default 128 so how much larger is a lossless file compared to 320. Currently I have 2600 songs ripped @320kbps AAC and it's taking up a little over 17GB on my 20GB 4G. I'm just trying to figure out how much room I would need if I purchased a 60GB iPod, reripped to lossless and loaded the same number of songs onto the new 60GB. Damn, not sure if this even makes sense to *me* and I'm the one asking. Shudda slept more.

Or maybe I'm just like this all the time these days.

Lossless is going to fluctuate based on musical complexity. You can see a very old comparison I did here. It's but one album, but may give you a hint of the differences. You can use the FLAC size for Apple Lossless.

Thanks blessingx, don't know what we'd do without you!
