are there any aaa battery holders that will fit 8 cells into a mint tin?
This is for a pint. It seems most are too tall, and i don't particularly want to manually connect these 8 cells.

thanks

Well i dont know of any that you can buy because i had the same problem. I turned to a 9v batt. but before i did that i found that old wireless home phones to be a great start. The batt. pack on an older phone held 6 triple A batts.

But if that is not an option then you could build one from scratch!

I'd look into custom battery packs. You can get the likes of DigiKey and Mouser to sell you various configurations of standard cells, wired in series, shrink-wrapped, with two leads coming off. You won't get the absolute highest mAh rating this way, but it's better than trying to solder wires to cells yourself without killing them.
