Hi all,

I've owned an a818 for a while, but for some reason I can't seem to send songs with tags that I've updated through foobar with those tags intact. Or if they are there they're just not showing up. This is pretty annoying as I want to utilize the intelligent shuffle functions (shuffle by year, etc). The catch is that most of the music that goes to the player is japanese, and it doesn't seem to recognize tags that I've re-written using foobar. These are being stored as id3v2 obviously. Do sony players utilize any special tag fields or something? I can write the japanese titles directly to the filename and they WILL show up, but that doesn't really help...

Thanks for any input you guys might have

I've noticed that a lot of DAPs do not recognize tags set in foobar very well. I had a hell of a time with Sandisk players in this regard, as well, and even my Nano isn't always happy with tags set in foobar.

really?? I'm surprised, because I've never heard this mentioned before...then what are other people using to write their tags then?
