Well it seems likely that the company I ordered AD700s from a few days ago sent me A700's instead. But before I ship it back/sell it I would like to ask if head-fiers opinion on whether or not I should keep it, bearing in mind that I listen to metal and electronic and could probably benefit from the extra bass. And I guess it was only $76 after all. Any thoughts?

I would recommend to try AD700 if you don't have to spend any extra money on shipping them back. I liked my AD700 much more than my friend's A700 for all genres of music including electronics.

except for impact and the stability and refinement of the sound, I even prefer the ad700s to the ad2000s

tonality on the ad2k is too forward and shouty yet rolled off on top (probably due to the tighter fitting design)

This same thing happened to me. I sent them back 2 days ago. I listened to them for about 4 hours and from this I decided that closed cans are not for me. It was a nice experience though. I will let you guys know if they decide to send me the ATH AD900 instead of the AD700 this time. If so...there is NO WAY I am sending those back. Mistake number two by them?? HA. That would be great.

OK guess I'm sending it back then, if they pay for the shipping. If they try to make me pay for return shipping then I'll laugh at them and put it in the marketplace for $80.

Electronics Expo will pay for return shipping as well. They just sent me a UPS label that's good for 10 days.

I ordered from Electronics Expo as well. Sure the shipping is free, but they still make you pay a two dollar pick up fee...Meanie heads.

Maybe he is talking about the fee that he has to pay for someone to pick it up at his house?
