Just a quick question before I purchase them at audiocubes. How well do they perform w/o an amp? Right now I am ampless and have an Audigy1 with Audigy2 drivers.

I play more games than I do listen to music, so that is the only reason why I wouldn't buy the Chaintech AV-710 along with the A500's.

Adequately. My A900s definitely improved when my PPA came back from repairs. This was from an AV-710, which has a line out not a headphone out. The audigy have at least small amps in them so it should be ok.
