[Veniogenesis]

Hi everyone!

My A500s are coming in very soon.

I just want to ask what to expect of it.
Does the A500 benefit from burn-in like most other cans?

I hope so! I've only got about 10 hours on mine so far. They're a bit darker/warmer than I imagined them. Then again, this is coming from Sennheiser 497s, sooooo.

I don't really remember what they sounded like when I got them (a year ago), but I remember the bass got better...anyway, sorry I can't help much more, but they did get better.

Yes. 50 hours should get you most of the gains.

Not quite as substantially as many other cans, but they DO benefit. The treble detail is missing at first and the bass is pretty boomy, but they open up quite nicely with 40 or so hours on them. I got them for a friend, and I've heard them both new and with ca. 100 hours on them, and the difference is substantial, although not nearly as much as, let's say, my HD590's.

Enjoy. For the money, these are superb. Extremely comfortable too.
