If you had $1,000 to spend on a tube amp that would be great with high-impedance dynamics (HD6XX, HD800S) and low-impedance planars (Edition XS, HE1000SE), what would you get? Willing to spend a tiny bit extra, but nothing extravagant.

Hard to beat the Quicksilver Headphone amp for that purpose and at that price point. It’s got plenty of power on tap and a relatively low output impedance (2.2 ohms), so it works well with most headphones out there.

Sounds like the WA6SE and the Quicksilver may be my best options.
