alright, there was a few thread talking about the Evangelion limited edition headphone by Audio Technica.
Most of the response were, well, not great since the concept picture made the headphone seems rather ugly.

but recently the headphone has been released and this is how it looks like

it actually doesn't seems as bad as the concept art. But the paint they used
doesn't seem to have any resistance toward scratching or chipping

wonder what headphone model is this one base upon though

so, how does everyone think about this headphone?

That's butt ugly. Can't wait to know how it sounds though.

Maybe they sound so good that you burst into liquid LCL on the spot, and then an inter-dimensional angel god (whose existence can only be explained by the highest level of theoretical physics) is summoned, and after effectively wiping out humanity off the face of the Earth, will completely rewrite perceived reality for the entire universe, based on the decision of an insecure/angsty japanese teenager/person child.

...

I man can hope, can't he?

do the earcups kind of remind you guys a face with a cigarette sticking out of his mouth?

Edit:
Boy they are still ugly as sin...

Price? I, for some reason like the odd colors of these headphones.

They mix nice, but I usually have an appreciation for odd things. I wouldn't wear these in public, but they are nice to look at.

I would imagine $300 maybe?

It's a repainted ATH-M50 casing... but there are extra holes on the outside (the M50 is completely closed). I wonder if there are different drivers inside.... interesting paintjob though. The two semicircles look like halves of bowling balls..

Yeah, I just noticed that. The M50 is $150 if I recall correctly.

If these are anywhere near $300, I might as well consider the ATH-900ti (I think) the L.E. Titanium ATH900.. these are some SWEEEEET headphones...

there, found the info on this headphone
http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/e...-technica.html

lets say, 24,800 yen is equal 216.336 USD
the price tag is actually much lower than $300

but hurry, the pre order ends soon XD (10/31/07)
today is 29th... but already 30th in Japan.
