the cable of my k702 was broken recently and i wanna get another factory one.but while i have searched all the akg website, i can only find one cable which model called EK300 seemed like to be the original one for K702.the problem is according to the description on the akg website,EK300 is design for K141 K141 k240 k271.k702 is not on the list.so i wonder if they use the same kind of cable or not.it did make me really confused

Quick question, what do you think of buying a modded better cable from a third-party seller like Moon-Audio or someone else? I'm sure that as popular as the Q/K701/2's are, you could find higher quality cables for them.

thank you for your answer.i am a little old fashion guy, i prefer the factory one because i think it stands for akg's designer's idea and their view of music. although i believe the third-party one maybe sound better or have a better quality,it make k702 change,

I think that cable, the EK300, is the right one for the K702 headphones.

I have the AKG K702 headphones and a pair of AKG K271 headphones and the cables are interchangeable.
 
If I were you I'd get the EK300.
