I sometimes want to listen to a TV via headphones. However, I've noticed that my TV does not accept a standard 1/8" jack, only the usual TV jacks.

I've tried to jerry-rig jacks I thought might work, but they always end up in silence. What is the best way to listen to my TV via my headphone? I have several cool gadgets potentially great for overnight listening - but there's no mini jack on my TV.

Ideas?

"usual TV jacks", you mean L&R RCA jacks?

My Sony 27" WEGA TV has L&R RCA preouts, and I have to set the TV to enable those jacks, or disable internal speakers. I run those connections to my AV-710 in my computer via RCA stereo to 1/8" male stereo plug.
