I am a freshman in University of Toronto.
Although the school is flooded with iPod's and iBuds,
I would still spot some SR-60's or HD-497's in the campus...
A lot of Grado love in U of T it seems,
someone even added Headphile C-pads to his SR-60(or 80)!

Finally somewhere I know that I'm not the lonely one...

1)Head to UT's Science Dept.

2)Go to the prof in charge of storing old junk.

3)Ask him if he wouldn't mind if you checked out a cabinet or two of ancient tube-driven science equipment and scored a box or two of tubes for a tube-building hobby you have.

4)Profit.

Once winter comes, you might also see me walking around with my Beyer DT 250's

those keep ears warm.
And yeah, you'll see a few grados, and even a few IEM's on campus. but...mainly iBuds *blergh*

Not at U of T either, but I saw 2 HD497s, 1 PX100, and 1 earbud which looked like the ATH CM3s or CM5s or whatever, it was the same "metal stick" type look.

all I see at Conestoga are streetstyle and pod buds, with the occasional "audiophile" with massive aiwa or jwin headphones. I make it a fun game to have them listen to my ksc-75 and try to defend their purchase... the fools!

Considering U of T is Canada's largest university with a nice population of 55, 000 or so, good luck tracking this guy down. Still way way cool.

Yeah, this is going to be my first *real* winter here,
(I'm a Taiwanese student coming from BC...)
I don't know if I'll be able to handle the chill. =/
The idea of getting a closed can to be my ear muffler had came across my mind several times...
any suggestions?
(That's if I have the money

Yeah like I said it's flooded with iBuds...
I haven't tried to walking with my E4's yet

I have to walk through a lot of intersections,
so I thought I'd just wear MX500 or KSC75 for safety reasons...
I do miss the isolation though.

Get a good pair of waterproof, insulated winter boots. Winter can be OK if you're dressed properly....and miserable if you are not.

I've got cousins over from scotland right now and gave them the tour of my uni (university of western ontario) and they commented on all the ipods....with stock earbuds of course...the odd time you see someone with something else, but it usually ends up being sony ex71's or 51's they picked up at the sony store, the white gives them away as ipod users, or wannabe users i guess....

For some reason though, I get the image that even though there are those that wear SR60s and SR80s, it seems to me like they dont even know what they have.
It's as if they walked into Bay-Bloor radio and just picked up the cheapest headphone (SR-60), just so that if anyone asks, they can still say "this headphone's awesome, after all, i DID pay over $100 for it".
What i'm usually more impressed of, are the IEM users.
