so ive done a little research and this is what ive come up with. (based heavily on budget)

MARANTZ CD5400 -> rockhopper millet hybrid + steps psu -> senns hd580 (i already own the cans)

good interconnects are going to have to come later.

what do you guys think?

I don't know much about any of the items in your rig based on personal experience. But on paper, that looks like one beefy rig! Let us know how you like the synergy with it!

thanks, though im wondering if maybe i should go with something that plays SACD? or HDCD?

that cd player is ~$230.. and im sure it isnt a slouch for the money. but i wonder if i could do better for the dollar?
