Are you familiar with Amir in general?  Or the fiasco happening at WBF?

I'll pass, thanks.

Yes I'm familiar but there's always too sides to every story and I'm concerned with the science of music reproduction and not personal feuds that in the end are none of my business.

After dealing with Amir's "sciency" postings at AVS for years, IMO, he isn't the best individual to represent "the science of music reproduction" - the WBF mess is the kind of drama that seems to follow him around. Your opinion may be different and perhaps Amir will change, but I'm still passing on anything he's involved with.

I have to say Amir as admin/creator isn't the greatest selling point for me. I'm clearly biased on this one.
I sure wish it's real and that the purpose is indeed science that doesn't bend to serve an agenda. and if it is, I wish him all the best. but I think I'll stick to reading hydro for seriouz bizzznezzz.

After checking his forum and reading replies in this thread, I don't think objectivist can be friendly.

Your concept of "friendly" on this forum is defined by whether someone blindly agrees with your unsupported claims.  I, personally, am glad this forum doesn't fit that definition.  Ironically, the actual insults have been yours in most cases.  You're called me, among other things, "ignorant" and done the same to others in the Snake Oil/Fidelizer thread.

As for this thread, many of us have a long history with Amir on multiple other forums.  The vast majority of it bad based on his interactions - these comments aren't happening in a vacuum.

See? I thought I made it clear that I stated my opinion from checking his forum and reading replies here. He already defined the concept of friendly in my place.

You have to be tolerant and be comfortable in the knowledge that most subjectivists are pouring loads of money into a black hole.

I think his concept of friendly might also encompass not being treated condescendingly.
I'm sure there are many using a $30 chromecast device & Sony $20 headphones that would consider people who throw money into an Emotiva DAC & Grado & HD 650 headphones in a similar light & they probably are tolerant & comfortable with seeing them pouring this money into such a "black hole". In fact I would say that they don't give a damn about others profligacy, why should they?

So who thinks that Pono's "Revealer", which takes your 192/24 file and converts it to 96/24, 48/16, 44/16 and mp3 does a fair job, keeping in mind Pono also has an own highres music store?
