where do the vibes fit in then?

My guess, between the E2c and the Ety's.
However don't forget that the Vibes are made to be fun to listen to, warm and forgiving, where the Ety's (ER-6i + IM616) are meant to be transparent to the source.

ER6i for softer music.
im616 doesn't really fail in anything.
E2C if you wanna save some cash.
CX300 if you solely listen to hip-hop and absoultely nothing else.

the ep-630s cannot compare with the others that he is asking about

Out of those, probably the er6is or the im616 is the best bet. Theyre very neutral and bright but if you get an amp to go with it, then its great

i agree with you that it is not in the same league, but the ep-630 is good for its price. i'm just suggesting an iem that is liked by many members here
