A few months ago I sold my X2 because of their weight and itchy ear-pads and got a pair of HD700.
Long story short, I missed the fun signature of the Philips and I also sold the Sennheiser.

I'm basically looking for a similar sound (X2), great sound-stage and unquestionable comfort (to date the MDR-1A are the most comfortable I've ever owned).
For budget let's say about 350$.
So far the k712 Pro seems a good bet.

K712 might be far too neutral for your preferences.

What about Beyerdynamic DT990 600 Ohm + a slightly warm amplifier?

I do have a slightly warm amp. Might try it (I thought the 990 was quite bright as well).

EDIT: I might just save up for the SHR1540, always intrigued me (demoed last year and was unimpressed, but I was too used to open headphones and didn't judge them for what they are).
