I was reading an old issue of Positive Feedback magazine that compared hd600s and rs-1s. They mentioned using the old yellow type pads from the hd414s on the rs-1s to cut down on the brightness. I got on sennheisers website and ordered two pairs, part number H-19545. I own a pair of flats ,bowls and the radio shack pads people have suggested. The sennheiser hd414 pads sound nearly as good as the flats and are more comfortable to me.You dont have to cut a hole in them for them to sound good either. Maybe they would sound even better if you did. For $4.50 its worth a try. These kill the bowl pads IMO.The only issue is listening awhile to get used to losing the greater sense of space the bowls give. They sounded especially good with my rs-2s. They are yellow and look good with my rs-225/125s and again sound close to the flats to me.

This might sound strange. How about flipping the bow pads over?| It seems like this would be about the same.
