My next door neighbor has alot of vinyl records. I was curious and ask him if he listens to any of them. He said no and I ask if I could take them off his hands

He said yes!

Sooo I was wondering what would be your recommendations on a vinyl player! If it can be under 200 bucks that be really great...

Also on the note, is their any vinyl,cd,mp3 player combo. Like a stero that can play all, something that I can plug in both my headphones or if I wanted too play it with speakers. If not then..

If I dont play my music off my computer and want to play it on some sort of souce, should it be a stero? Or something better, that I can plug in headphones. Its just that my computer is so old that it isnt that important to upgrade. So I am trying to get a all in 1 source, something that can play all my music types, even if I want to use my DAP.

if this is confusing I will be more then happy to explain

Generally the all-in-one source is a bad idea as there are very few compaines who are good at making everything. The all-in-one type systems are usually fairly poor quality electronics in a fancy box that will look cutting edge for a few months and then break down in a year or two.

A better class of equipment is usuallly from specialist compaines who just make speakers or cartridges for instance. Real Hi-Fi kit is the kind of thing that you can buy a few times in your life and it will last you decades. Unless you stick around places like this too much and get upgraditis.

Good score with the records. Are they in good condition? do they look clean and free of dirt and scratches? Handle them carefully without touching the grooves. Put your thumb on the label and fingers on the rim and try not to let the surface rub the sleaves when you take them in and out unless they are of the padded variety.

I would recomend something like a Goldring GR1.2 or Project Debut which may be a bit more than 200USD but will be worth it as a first step into serious vinyl. If you really can't afford this then look for a 2nd hand deck locally. Technics are good as are Dual or Thorens if you can find them. Pioneer and Sansui also made some good quality decks in the 70's.

Then get hold of an old 70's receiver from Marantz or any of the big japanese names from a flea market/ yard sale and you can plug your turntable and computer into this.

Maybe ask your nice neighbour if he is also junking any other old 70's relics

that he might not want and offer him some money. 20 dollars or something.
You never know you might get even luckier.
