the news: http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansas...d/10340528.htm( if the link doesnt work, you can go to google news and search father's ghost to find it.)
I spotted the news on google and suprisingly found that the auction actually existed.

now the price has gone ridiculously high and there is plenty of time left for the auction to end. most of the buyers who have bidden on the auction seem to be no kidding because of their feedback. If I want to mess this auction up, I would probably use a fake ebay account. even if the woman asks no money, the eBay fees will be ridiculously high as well. whos gonna pay for that?

btw, a lot of imitators are using the same search keys in their auction titles such as father's ghost, which seems pretty funny

(This one is an imitator but the price has gone crazy as well)

That's the reason for the auction according to my local paper. The kid was scared of being haunted, so grandpa went on the block to remove the threat. The spirit of the season, no doubt.

That auction on Ebay for the Grandfather's ghost closed yesterday for a tad under $10k. The winner (the-golden-casino.com is the winner) of that auction is also the same winner of that grilled cheese sandwich that went for about $28k a week and half ago.

I assume the sale is valid only on delivery of the merchandise? That should be an interesting transaction.

I also heard that part of the agreement between the seller and winner of the grandfather ghost auction was that the winner agrees to personally write a letter to the kid stating that his grandfather's ghost has indeed been sold to that person and will no longer be bothering him.
