I have looked for a while, and the least expensive thing I can find is around $120 from ESI I think. I am looking for something that is cheap that can output an unencrypted .wav that is 24/192 through a digital coax. That is ALl I want, nothing special.

I cannot find anything on the 7.1 or 5.1 M-Audio Revolution cards. I'm thinking 24/96, can anyone who owns one confirm.

My 1212M only does 96 coax and 192 optical, but through lightpipe, something my digital amp will not recognize.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Have you considered using a Optical to Coax converter? But the card way would be easier and one less component to go through. I have no idea about a card, just wanted to add somthing.

Thanks, guys. I got the Revo 5.1, and it does in fact do 24/192 stereo out of the coax. It works for wavout and kernal streaming for foobar, but I cannot get ASIO to work. Any suggestions, or just leave it at KS?

Terratec phase 22 has 192khz coaxial out and is fully compatible wit kernel streaming. It does everything I need.

ps: why do you need the 192 khz output? those cd's won't sound a bit better in 192 khz mode.

I just found the Close Encounters soundtrack on an unencrypted, straight from the masters, stereo 24/192 HDAD DVD. Since I LOVE that soundtrack, this is something I want to hear in 192khz and not 44.1khz.
