Hey guys!
I have been using my beyerdynamic dtx 501 pro for a few years now but every six months or so they break ... i must have replaced about six pairs by now ... they are small, mobile and folding and the quality rivals that of my studio headphones .. and now i want to upgrade to something simillar but more sturdy, i take a lot of care when i use them so its deffenatly the build quality of the wiring ... and as a final note i don't want small earbuds or full size headphones.

Any recommendations?

Try the AKG K518LE -- A clear-sounding, foldable, on-ear, and on-the-go headphone.  It is readily available on Ebay.  There are several cable mods illustrated here on Head-Fi.  You will not be disappointed!
