Audio Advisor is a very reliable dealer, with a good return policy. I've bought from them many times, and never had a problem. I don't know how that player compares to the 963.

I don't get this "96 Khz DAC". Huh?!! shouldn't it be a 192Khz DAC for SACD.

No. 96kHz is one of the common PCM sampling rates (CD/DVD). Some DAC's upsample PCM to 192 kHz before conversion to analog. SACD samples in the 2.8 mHz range (it is 64 x 44.1 kHz to make for easy DSD to PCM conversion), but keep in mind sampling rates between SACD/DSD and PCM(CD/DVD) are not comparable as far as quality goes.

SACD is about 1.3 MHz.

"Indeed, the sampling frequency of DSD, 64x44.1kHz= 2.8224MHz, has been chosen to be a simple multiple of most of the common sample rates in order to make data conversion to existing audio formats as easy as possible. "

Hirsch, this quote comes from an excellent technical article on SACD that is a relatively easy read:

Sorry about that. I had the other figure stuck in my head for some reason.
