This is great, just when I'm clearing stuff out of my 2gb Clip. Who knows, maybe if I can get it cheap around holiday season, or if the 4gb price drops...maybe...

we can only hope that it will be released by year's end to take advantage of the coupon. What I don't get is why the 8GB version has been selling in Europe for a while, but shopsansa.com does not stock it and there is no information about it. It beats me.

now I see I can get a refurbished 4gb Clip for like 40$ on ebay...and my Ebay rewards(10$) should be coming in this upcoming week...so damn tempting.

I would not jump to conclusions. Knowing sandisk, it would not surprise me if there are 8GB with v1 hardware. Sandisk really runs a messy operation.

just noticing that the 8GB clip is finally on shopsansa.com but it says it's backordered...

it gives a release date of 11/14 (but it wasn't on the site 'til today)...

also, the SANSAEMP226 coupon for 30% off isn't working on it...

think i might go for the $59.99 8GB fuze @ costco on black friday despite the color...it should be the newer revision, right?...
