Check out my winamp playlist.

I've compiled this playlist over the past half a year to a year, or so, of my favourite 80s songs.

Considering I only lived in the 80s for 5 years (yet I absolutele LOVE the music), it took me a long time to find all these artists names. Because there were so many songs that I knew and loved, but had no idea what they were called, or who they were by.

I've just compiled this list after hearing plenty of them on the radio over the year, plus, I've gotten a bit of help from reading some of the track lists from those Time Life 80s collections.



Anyways, first, I'd like to say that only about 90% of these songs are actually from the 80s. Some are a bit earlier or later, either because they're simply by a major artist from the 80s (who I've listed other songs by) or, I simply associate them with the 80s, since they have that style of music, and are of the same era and genre to me. (ie. Jon Secada).

I'd also like to note that for some reason, I decided to, purposely, leave out some of the enormous 80s rock bands (ie. Metallica, U2 etc...)

This is still a work in progress. I'm trying to create the ultimate list, so any feedback and/or suggestions would be much appreciated.

usually 80's gets a bad rep, but a lot of amazing stuff came out of that decade. oldskool rap was amazing as well, like Sugarhill Gang, LL Cool J, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaata (i love "Looking for the Perfect Beat"), Run DMC, etc... even hair bands were exciting times!

back in the 80's we'd have new wave bands rubbing elbows with rap artists, metal, hair bands, arena rock AOR, all other different genres battling out in the Top 40. chart music these days are just a tepid bore.
