Hello.

I purchased some AKG K912 wireless headphones and while they sound alright for me, there is a noticeable hiss/hum on the background whenever no sound is coming from the source. When there is sound from the source, i don't notice it at all, so i dont have any interference or a faulty device.

The problem can be pratically solved by increasing the volume the Source to maximum and reducing the headphones volume, but somehow, that compresses the sound a lot like there is a limiter going on.

The AKG K912 are aroung 800-900 mhz, if i take them back and trade them for the more expensive AKG K915 that are 2,4ghz, would it fix this hiss problem??

Are 2,4ghz headphones less noisy?? Wouldn't they get interference from wifi? (the base is close to a router)

Thank you!
