How about:

Sony MDR-V6
Koss ProDJ100

I haven't heard the Koss - the Sony V6 are a classic - not real exciting, but they also don't do anything badly. I always laugh at "built to last" being on the list of requirements. I have a pair of Sennheisers that are over 30 years old. They are made 100% of plastic. The only thing I have ever done to them is replace the foam pads that disintegrated. Take care of your equipment and it will last. Throw it around and it won't.

Hi Billybob, thanks for the quick reply.

Durability:
I agree take care of one's stuff, but been "burnt" before.
Had a pair of (£50) Goldring ns1000 Noise cancelling. 2 plane journey's & 1 car. Left earcup fell out within 5 months.
Removable jack wanted: Attached wire caused previous headphones to die (cheaper Senn px100).

Koss dj200:
Been very close to buying. Owners say can be hard to drive & need an amp. So assessing potential alternatives. (+Lifetime Warranty)

Sony MDR-V6:
The durable studio headphones, I have been tempted, but as you've said I've heard they're not exciting, & can be boring to listen to.

Thanks for the input.
