Purchased Sennheiser 560S. However one long problem, supplied cable is 3M. For most of my use 1M is more convenient.


But I can see a small problem. The jack that plugs into the phones has an outside diameter of 7mm. I have a three contact 3.5mm jack but the actual case of the jack housing is some 10mm.


Has anyone any idea where I can get, in UK, a 3.5mm jack with a 7mm housing?

Not so sure, I have another cable that looks like as if it has a very slim jack case but will not fit; maybe .5mm too thick. I suspect that all those on Amazon are the same. Have not yet used calipers to measure accurately.

On the 560S the jack case has to go into a "tunnel" to get to the socket; this tunnel is very small.

Got calipers out; which made me look more closely at the Sennheiser cable. Found the problem. It is a 2.5mm jack not 3.5mm. So yes there are many of those on Amazon.
