Can anyone tell me what these are, and what they're suitable for? Can they only be used with digital, or would they be just as good for analog signals?

The models in question are the new WBT Nextgen RCA connectors.

Great for digital signal, and also for component video. Canare also makes a nice true 75 ohm RCA plug with a crimped center pin.

They also work just fine for analog, but the true 75 ohm part doesn't make any difference there, as I understand it. However, the single-contact ground point of the WBT and originally Eichmann is definitely superior to the overall sleeve contact afforded by a typical RCA plug.

Those 75 Ohm are the HF impedance. I wouldn't exspect any impact on the comparatively low frequencies of analogue audio signals.

i'm interested in how these related to the termination style kevin mentioned for audio cables.

Aren't the connectors supposed to have no termination at all really?
