You will have an opportunity to listen to a pair of white, 1st generation, ipod headphones which I will be bringing.
I highly recommend you come early to get a spot in line.

Edit: They are considered vintage and VERY rare.

Howdy All!

Looking forward to the next meet - I have a couple of new toys already (Fiio E17 + E9) and a couple more on order (Sennheiser HD800 balanced and RSA SR-71B amp). Hopefully everything arrives by the meet.... see you there!

On a more serious note, last time I arrived with the SR-325's, Denon D7000's, Little Dot I+, vintage Hitachi HA-330 amp and a X-Meridian 2G soundcard.

This time around, accompanying me will be the; Grado RS2's, D7000s, AKG K240M 600 ohm along with the Little Dot I+ and NAD 7020e amp's and an HRT Music Streamer II DAC.

Look forward to hearing everyone's setups and spending some SERIOUS listening time with the LCD2's this time around. I'll take any version.

Is anyone brining a tube amp by chance?

Ive got a tube hybrid and a tube buffer.

If the opportunity presents itself, I would be interested in hearing the Grado's on them.

After many op-amp rolls on the Little Dot I+, I found that the bright and lively LME49720HA is the best match for the D7000's, although not the best  amp choice in the end. Connecting D7000's to my vintage SS Hitachi yielded the best results, which gave a huge mid-range boost. As my friend put it, 'They now have the clarity of your Grado's while retaining the Denon low-end". Quite a compliment to the Denon's.
Draw back to the vintage Hitachi is the noise floor. The 'relic' has too much gain :) I look forward to hearing R.W's AMP1 with the D7000's which, when upgraded, uses 2x LME49720HA op-amps and is pure solid state. Sounds like a match made in heaven.

Yeah, you are more than welcome to give my kit some grado time, and yo u have no idea how much I want to listen to the d7000. If they even sound half as good as they look, I will be happy :)

To provide the best possible D7000 listening experience, I have decided to bring along my trusty vintage Hitachi HA-330 amp. They love the class-a amping, really strange for a 32ohm, super efficient headphone.

Any HE-500 owners coming?

I think I shall attend this one too.

For source gear I will bring my Little Dot DAC_1, laptop, Amp1, Iphone 4

For Headphones I will bring a pair of Shure SRH-940, Vmoda M80, and a cheapy but somewhat intersting pair of Phillips headphones.

For IEM's I will have a pair of Etymotic HF3, Sony MDR-7550.

I hope I can do a thorough A/B comparison between the HD800 and my 940's just to see if the reviewer Dale is crazy or not :).

I am scared to hear the HD700 because if I really like them I will be regretting getting the 940's.
