Hello all,
I'm very happy with my Pagoda running with 6dj8, but read some have put 6sn7 on other MHDT dacs.
Is it safe to use 6sn7 in the Pagoda?

I tried them in my Orchid, same tube circuit I believe. It just sounded off no matter which one I tried, even the legendary Tungsol black glass. I think the 5670 and 6DJ8 work much better in this low voltage circuit and the 6SN7 like 200+ volts to get in a linear low distortion operating range.

No problem! I had a friend that liked it for a while, but then switched back to the 6DJ8. It's possible, but YMMV. Upgrading the output capacitors made a huge difference for me (Vcap ODAM) and I settled on the WE 396A. Well balanced and crystal clear with an excellent sense of realism.
