Less than three days until the meet! Can't wait. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.... Oh yeah, and trying out some awesome gear.
Please vote if you have not done so already. If needed, please update your vote. I base my food order on votes.
Let me know if you want something specific from Panera. I'll do my best to accommodate.
We have a Bifrost 2 coming as well for the Lyr+ stack.
If you have not been to a meet before, there are a few minor points of etiquette.
1) Have fun
2) Please be respectful with people's gear. Some of this stuff is one of a kind and/or super expensive.
3) Always turn down a source all the way before plugging in or unplugging headphones. Most of this stuff has protection but some don't. Even with protection, there could be issues.
4) Please ask the owner of the gear you are trying if you want to change something or have questions.
5) Don't eat or drink near people's setups.
6) Table space is limited so keep your stack as compact as possible. You can always expand later if there is more room
7) We MUST be completely out the door by 5. They need to clean and set up for another group coming in at 6. Shut those wacky tube amps off a bit early to let them cool.
8) We have local files on iPads. That said, I'm happy to connect another source or your source so that you can hear what you know to properly evaluate gear.
9) Please avoid using makeup, hair products, aftershave and cologne. These can stain and leave permanent fragrances on pads and headbands.
10) Make friends. Make connection. Most importantly, see rule #1!
My name is Gene. I'll have my black Schiit Happens shirt on. Schiit and I want feedback on how we can make this better for you. We are hosting these meets to give back to the audio community and want to make it the best we can.
