I have a 30G iPod video, and have noticed that at higher volumes into headphones (not amps or other equipment) the left channel "runs out" of power (fades noticeably) before the right channel as volume is increased to high levels. Anyone else notice this? iPod quirk? Defect? Operator neurosis?

Good thing there's HeadFi and high quality amps.
