Can anything beat the Little with the premium electronics upgrade. If so, what and where can I get it?

These will be used with HD600, and a Linn CD Player.

No DIY amps please, just the standard stuff

Or you could wait for the new Antique Sound Labs OTL32 .. Which is set to cost 500 w/o remote 600 with.

The Antique Sounds Labs MG/OTL ($299) is regarded as a very combination with the 600's. The OTL32 is supposedly a big improvement over the mg/otl. Not only is it suitable for hd600's (high impedance) but it is also suitable for low impedance cans as well. Plus you get to have fun with tubes. It should be available soon.

I own the MG/OTL combo and i love it it with my hd600s

Uhh, you should buy a Sonic Adventure Reality with some upgraded tubes, such as the Orange Amperex 7308. I just happen to know of one for sale in the Gear For Sale section for a mere $350.00 shipped...

Unless you're stuck on tube amps (in which case I'd look into ASL's latest offerings), I'd either get the Gilmore from Antness/HeadAmp.com or if you want crossfeed, spend $60 extra and take a chance on how close the Corda HA-2 comes to the Prehead. The Prehead and Gilmore are two of my very favorite amps and I've listened to them both extensively with the HD600.

Guys sorry to be a pain but the replies I very varied, everyone has a different suggestion.

Is there a definitive $400 (my new limit) amp that is great or what are the top 3

I always look for definitive answers but you know what? Amps like speakers and headphones are highly subjective. There are consensus on some things but consider yourself lucky (or unlucky depending on whether you like choice) that you're choosing headphone amps rather than stereo amps because you have less to choose from. Anyhow I have an HA2 on order. There are some reviews here like Kelly's reviews on the Gilmore and the Prehead. Just check out the reviews and see what others have to say about them and see what you can live with/live without.

Gilmore Light by Antness, no idea on a release date, but it's expected to be $299, according to subsonic.
