I currently own a pair of original Beyerdynamic T1's and an Audeze LCD-3 Fazor. Running these off of an Audio-GD Master 9, they both sound incredible and clearly have different strengths. Specific for this question, I'll be travelling a significant amount for work over the next few years and am looking for a pair of IEMs (or CIEM) that are optimal for Hard Rock and some Symphonic Metal. Is there an IEM out there now that matches the original T1 in tonality or perhaps exceeds it? While I enjoy the LCD3 for a wider range of material, the T1's take it when it comes to groups like Shinedown, Aether Realm, Egypt Central, and Disturbed. I'm not locked in to the $500-1000 price range, but that's roughly where I'm looking.
