Tough sell at $400 price point, local HH Gregg was selling a ton of Sony S350 BDPs for $239 after Xmas.....and just a little more money than $400 will soon get the new Oppo BDP 83, is there any reason to believe this unit will seriously compete with Oppo?

I will definitely be getting the new Oppo BDP 83 when released myself, I suspect it will set the standard for Blue Ray picture quality at anywhere near the price and the Anchor Bay VRS upconversion for standard DVDs is a proven winner used in former flagship Oppo DV983

90% of consumers will be happy with Sony S350 and the 10% that want to spend more for upscale model will go want a significant step up like the Oppo.
