Hi guys,

I'm having an argument with a friend of mine about 4-channel circuitry in a headphone amp. Since I don't think 4-channel circuitry means a 4-channel output on a headphone amp, what... in layman's terms, does having 4-channel circuitry (like in some of the Xin and Headstage amps) accomplish?

Go to the Xin forum and check out all the threads on it. Especially those concerning using two Supermicro's back to back one for a pre-amp and a second for a power amp configuration. Dr. Xin built the 4-channel configuration to enable this type of isolation in the circuity on one board. I remember seeing hand written diagrams of this configuration, so you might find those threads much more educational than my ramblings.

I would like to know too. Up until now I have assumed it means active live and ground for both channels. Is that close?
