The leather headband separated from the "L" plastic block so now it shows some of the metal band, how is the band attached to this block?

OK, it appears the right side won't budge. So it floats, I thought it was supposed to be attached. I bent the band a little because wearing the 325i was starting to hurt my right ear only. Bending it a little helps a lot. I thought I heard something snap when bending it and I saw the metal band but you're saying this is normal.
