Hello Head-Fi forum. I am definatly not an expert on microfones or other recording devices.
I need a microfone for Skype and Gaming with the following features:
1- Have decent, clear, consistent (compressed lol) quality. Bass doens't really matter much.
2- Be rather small so it won't take my line of sight in the screen while gaming.
3- Should be decent to use in front of the monitor while the speakers are playing gaming sounds and not completly kill my voice.
4- Will last some years (well, at least one that's not broken in a month)
I was thinking of the Samson Go Mic USB. However, i worries me in the reviews that it seemed (at least to me) to catch a lot of elements from behind, even in one direction mode.
Also, i have a M-Audio Fast Track Pro soundcard with phantom power, should i get a normal XLR type condenser mic? Or will it be a big thing between me and the screen? (i use a desktop computer).
Thank you for your help.
