Is there any good amp for DT990 Premium 250ohm? My choice are limited since there is not much headphone shop around here in Vancouver. There is only one shop that I can tell - http://www.headphonebar.com/categories/Headphone-Amps-%26-Desktop-Audio/

The source will be the iPhone 5/ iPad 2 , it doesn't need to be portable and the max amount of $ I can go is $325. I have been thinking of E11K or the E12 but recently I have increase my budget to $250 so I don't know what to get now......

Please help me to decide! Thx!!!!

Just share my existing chain:
My DT770 250 ohm sound good drive by JDSlab 02, this amp can drive my HD600 (300Ohm) as well.
I believe will be not problem to drive h DT990 250.

Please look this similiar thread:

Thanks, you need one more post to become a 100+ headfier, congrats

Do you get an ODAC for your O2? Because the O2+ODAC looks quite nice.

I don't have ODAC (which is good DAC), but use cheap and tiny HifimeDIY asynch DAC (eSabre chip)...so far I'm happy .Source DELL laptop/Foobar.
ODAC and O2 is perfect couple, you can check Schiit duo as well many people happy with the sound.

I have Maverick D1 tube desktop DAC/amp as well , use amp only and skip the DAC part and use HifimeDIY DAC.... not bad, this amp powerfull enough.
I set volume at 9 'clock and loud enough.

E12 should work very well. And then you would have the option of portability.

Standalone O2 amp can take batteries, so also some limited (it's a little large) portability. Given that you have idevices as sources, I think the portability options make a lot of sense :)

O2+ODAC seem to be a really capable combo, probably great pick if you like the bright sound signature.

Based on what I've read, Fiio E07K + E09K should be a tad warmer, in case you prefer to tame the highs just a little.

Something like Schiit Vali or Asgard 2 should be very nice too, but I can't find them in the site you've shared.

Best Luck!

The FiiO E11K headphone amplifier can drive the 250-Ohm Beyers to a decent volume, with the volume knob at around 45%.
Otherwise your better off spend your audio budget for better headphones.
Personally, for open headphones, I would take the Audio Technica ATH-AD900X, over the 250-Ohm Beyer DT990s.

Yeah I would love to see some more schiit product over here, if there is, I would buy quite a few of their products.

I would always love to have another great open headphone

But the ATH-AD900X sell for $309.99 CAD here which is a lot more expensive than than the price I got the DT990 ($209.99 CAD)
Since I am only a grade 10 student I can't afford another headphone since it will also require an amp, so I would prefer to get an amp for the future
