Hi there guys!
Is anyone aware of a good linear regulated 24V power supply, that would not be too pricey and be a considerable upgrade for Creek's OBH-line?
I just got a second hand OBH-21, and I wonder, whether there is a regulated linear power supply from which the OBH would benefit.
Mine comes with the old little wallwart supply. Upgrading to OBH-2 got many good opinions over here. However:
Creek themselves sell only the new UNI-supply - which is, if I am not mistaken, switching. It looks like they did it to be in line with upcoming laws on power efficiency. Might be the best you can get out of a switching unit, but I believe, that a good linear is still much better for hifi-appliances.
The famous ELPAC WM080-1950-76 is not available anymore at any store I found it listed. Anyway, it was 110V input only - so not really suitable for me over here in 230V-Europe.
Cheers!
