Utopia are sold [a momentous decision].
MDR-Z1R are currently up for sale.
Only the HEDDphone and ADX5000 remain.
[Am enjoying the former while listening to Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances, Opus 45 (Charles Dutoit, The Philadelphia Orchestra; Decca/London).]

The Tidal transfer doesn't really deliver the full import of the Timpanies, but I have always enjoyed this rendition.

Too bad Tidal has very few Master tracks to offer.in their [already rather spare] "classical" library.

After a month of waiting and 6 months of craving, it’s finally here😍
Hopefully upgrading from Mojo very soon.

I am looking at upgrading from the Hugo 2 with similar valve amplification to go with the ADX5000. There are several choices for the European market, & Audion seems to be a long established manufacturer from France. Any owners of this brand on here, or opinions if had a demo?

Has anyone tried ADX5000 with a shorter (and much cheaper) balanced cable than the AT 4-pin XLR cable: AT HDC114A/1.2 4.4mm Detachable Balanced Audiophile Headphone Cable for On-Ear & Over-Ear Headphones? Some Sony, Cowon and other top of the line DAPs have 4.4 mm balanced connectors and there are several reasonably priced amps from iFi and others available with these connectors as well.

In the Name of God

I hope someone here can help. I am looking for a headphone that is fast (almost electrostatic fast), gentle in the bass but forward in the mids and treble, with excellent comfort and soundstage. Essentially, I am looking for a ATH W5000 that is open, with no wing design and faster. Is the ADX5000 that? And the last question: can I drive the ADX5000 with a wm1a in high gain or maybe even balanced - anyone try that? Thanks so much and hope someone can help.

IMHO: The ADX5000 are not midrange forward, have ample bass and "sparkly" [but I wouldn't say forward] treble.

It has been so long since I had the W5000, that I can't comment there.

SONY advertises the WM1A with their MDR-1ZR: 64 ohms/1kHz and 100 dB/mW versus the ADX5000: 420 ohms/1 KHz and 100 dB/mW.

Had a hard time finding the amp specs for the WMA1.

I got early today the ADX5000.

Pro-ject Prebox S2 ---> Burson Soloist SL MK2 ---> ADX5000.

With open mouth, disscayed jaw; I recommend this experience to everyone.

Wowwwww.

Thank you, Pataburd¡ Now I understand what made you sell almost all your cans... What I can't understand is how you were about to sell ADX5000... What a big mistake it would have been... Best regards.
