@FiiO  - Are you going to add more details on each of the new products on this thread, or create dedicated threads to each?  For starts - how about estimated release dates and specs for each new product?

Hi, Yethal

The fifth pin on the AM6 is used for ground connection.

Why do the earphones require a dedicated ground pin if they are being ran balanced?

I'm seriously interested in the X1ii. I think Fiio might be on to a real winner here seeing as it has bluetooth as well. If they can manage to price it the same (or cheaper) than the first X1, I have a feeling it'll become their fastest and best selling product to date.

Fiio, please please, pretty please, allow users to make themes for it. I genuinely miss getting creative with my X5. Heck, you could even have a competition...get a bunch of users to make themes, and the best 5 get included as a factory standard option. that would be epic

hi, Yethal
Those products are using the electronic frequency division principle, so they are not the same with the traditonal balanced module. It need a dedicated to form a pathway.

Hi, TheoS53
It may not be available for the users to DIY the themes. But there will be 6 themes for users to choose.

Will fiio x1 new gen have aptx?

Hi, apaar123
The new X1 doen't support APT-X by now. The new X1 is running Linux system based on MIPS architecture, which is just not supported by the licensor, although we do have the APT-X authorization.
It needs futher communication on whether it would be supported in the future.

Hi, apaar123

Generally, APT-X is better the normal bluetooth. The new X1 may support it in the furture but it needs futher communication now.
