Curious, what source and amps (if any) are you running them out of?
Lastnight I used my ipod with the c&c bk1 and it pair very well. So I just set the volume to halfway and let them burn in all night. This morning I used my ak100 & rsa mustang and they opened up. Leads me to believe they may be source dependent.

Are you referring to VSD2S or AN16?

My AN16 has the numbers 00028 on the top of the box. Where is 00001 !!!??

Mine has 00028 on it as well. So, probably not serial number.

Edit : The VSD2S box has 00028 on it as well. So, definitely not serial number.

Guess all the VSD series (from 3/3S-red lettering on black box & including AN16) bear this #, the identifier.....not sure about VSD5,tho.....

Be sure of that, my VSD5 reads, 2014/6000.

Just went to the post office to collect the vsd2s and AN16.

Out of the box, the vsd2s feels very well made, the size of the shell is nice and snug on the ears. I love the cable, its like a matte version of the KZ EDSE cable. Included tips are not that fantastic, but will make do for now.
Tested it on some acoustic tracks, and it feels a bit mid-bass muddy and slow (not that obvious to me), but trebles are nicely extended and crisp. Vocals are lovely, the singer's voice really jumps out for me. Separation reminds me of um3x which i used to own (other than the slightly overpowering mid-bass hump that affects speed of bass). Haven't tested other genres yet, nor the AN16.

Pleased with the purchase, solidly built iem.

Yeah, you are correct, that's the actual serial # of VSD5's......but this #00028 is found on the top of the box close to plastic tab (hook to hang), so your VSD5 box too have that?.....

It got that plastic thing to hang, and the # On top left as you can see.
