Been doin' a lot of swapping an dmessin' around with source/amp/can combos and have found the Bithead 595 combo with 256kb VBR and higher out of a laptop with iTunes to be a particularly nice combo for casual, heck even serious listening. 595s have been more sensitive to amplification than I expected, ranging from unlistenable from high impedance receiver/integrated jacks to "meh" from dedicated sources with better (HR Micro/DM and Glite) amplification. This combo seems to hit the sweet spot and bring the best I've heard from the 595s.

IMHO and all that stuff, but having fun with it.

They just seem to have very good synergy for some reason.
