2006 NC meet interest check.
Jun 16, 2006 at 12:18 PM Post #47 of 79
Yup. I will post directions soon, and a list of the stuff I will have on hand to play with. Since I have done a few shows out of town the last few weeks, I have decided just to do the meet at my house. I'm a little worn out on the breaking down of all the equipment, stuffing in the car, setting up, breaking down, setting back up etc etc etc....I have a 3rd floor that is dedicated to audio and should have plenty of room for setting other gear up. If I could get a head count and an an idea how much gear people are bringing so I can do some arranging that would be great.

Re: food
Any good takeout nearby? As I recall, at our NC meet with Tyll of Headroom we were thwarted in our quest to get local barbeque because it was closed on a Sunday. Any possibility of good local BBQ? Other gastronomic desires?

If I'm able to get off work on Saturday, I'll probably be able to attend. Coming along will be my brother(JunktionFET), and our friend who designs amps(used to work for Cary Audio).

Headphones that we'd be able to bring:

AKG
K 240 Studio
K 240 DF
K 270 Studio
K 501

Beyerdynamic
DT 660
DT 880(new 2006 edition)
DT 990(non-pro, pre 2006)

Along with that, a good selection of DIY headphone amps, including the one listed in my signature. I really wish someone had a W5000, I've been really wanting to hear it!

I can't say for sure whether we'll be able to attend, but I'll know on Monday and will update accordingly.
