Currently, I really only have one system...so I'll put all the parts I have here.

Sony Walkman PCDP (DEJ756)
Compaq Evo laptop with about 17 hours of --r3mix mp3s, playing on Winamp 2.81 with MAD and crossfeed plugins
(M-Audio Sonica coming in the mail soon)
Koss Porta Pros
(Senn HD280 as soon as I have the cash, would have gotten some Grados but I need a closed pair)
Homebuilt cmoy amp in a Walgreens mint tin
(more amps to come)

Main music genre is thrash metal (Iced Earth, Megadeth, old Metallica). Honorable mention for some power and traditional metal bands (Blind Guardian, Falconer, Iron Maiden, Jag Panzer). Also some punk rock (Good Charlotte, No Use for a Name, Eve 6, Sum 41) and plenty of hard rock (Caroline's Spine, Third Eye Blind, Everclear, Pearl Jam).

*= The Airhead will be kept as a portable amplifier; I am replacing it with some sort of high end amplifier in the near future for home use.

**= The headphones provide the best sound I have ever heard; the cable will be upgraded in the next couple of weeks to a cardas, however.

*** = Not really a music preference, but it's a valid reason to invest in a low-end setup.

I'm a peon compared to you guys. :P

Cheers,
Geek
