HeadRoom Desktop amps are very good, and can be configured many ways, to suit yourself and your needs.
Meier amps are also good choices.

I ordered the Max'd out HeadRoom Desktop (with DAC) Thursday. It takes 1-2 weeks to build/ship, so I should have it next monday the earliest, one week after that at the latest. I have K701s though, so it'd be a little different. I can tell you how it is when it arrives and it burns in a little bit if you'd like (granted, I'm no audio expert).

I was in the same situation as you - posted a thread not too long ago with a $2000 budget for amp/dac, and went with HeadRoom based off of experience and that the company seems very down to earth and def seem to know what they are doing, and knew I couldn't go wrong with it.

I've got the DAC-1 with ZD (w/ HD650), being fed from an Airport Express. Sounds great.
