Those are some crappy earbuds. If someone is willing to put out the effort to make the mould, at least put in some decent earbud speakers. That, IMO, is just a waste of effort.

Fun, but only if $3 drivers are your ultimate audio experience, and you don't value your ears at all.

Is there any reason this philosophy can't simply be applied to "good" earphones? Finding out the width of the connection between the earphone and tip shouldn't be difficult. Drill into the epoxy the same with and bam! Is there any reason this won't work?
