Can anyone recommend a high quality 2.5mm male to 4.4mm female adapter? And a high quality 4.4mm male plug.

Right now I have a Fiio one, which works very well with an original Sony cable but doesn't work well with a 4.4mm plug I bought from eBay (I have to pull it out about half a mm to hear sound on both channels).

Of course I can blame the plug (and I do - can see a small difference when put near an original Sony) but the seller sold a lot of them and they work if inserted directly into a 4.4mm player.

Which makes me think the tolerances on both Fiio adapter and the plug are small enough so they don't matter when paired with a high quality component, but large enough to make a difference when combined.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up buying a Hiby R6Pro, which has a 4.4mm output. Problem solved, without any adapter

The best 2.5mm to 4.4mm I’ve found is effect audio’s But it’s expensive $50.

4.4 male pentacom or furutech rodium carbon
It is my choice
Pentacom signature is warmer than Furutech rodium carbon
