I have read some threads praising the sound quality of the 1st Gen Ipod Shuffle. How does it fare with the 1st Gen Ipod Nano using:

1. the nano's headphone out
2. the nano's lineout

The nano's lineout is probably a lot clearer than the shuffle's headphone out.

The 1st gen Shuffle's sound quality is amazing for such a small, simple mp3 player. Do you want a nice, portable mp3 player? Or are you going to be able to lug around an mp3 player + portable amp? It depends on what you want to do.

I can go either way. It depends on my mood. I only wish to get some answers on the two items I have mentioned above which is to compare the headphone out of the 1stGen shuffle against:

1. headout of 1st Gen Nano and,

2. lineout with amp of course of 1st Gen Nano

Probably depend on the amp.

Without doing a direct comparison, I would say the headphone out of my 1st gen Shuffle & line out to MiniBox on 2nd gen iPod nano would be fairly similar.
